I'm taking a brief detour off of the well tread path of science and "health" to venture into the brain waves/patterns of thinking/psychology behind food. 

Last week I shared about the gut brain connection, emphasizing that our gut has its very own nervous system. Gut health has blown UP over the past few years which is pretty frackin' cool seeing as Hippocrates said it a couple (thousand) years ago: "All disease begins in the gut."

Sure, he may have had some other ideas that have since been proven... well... wrong... (sorry, buddy!), but modern science agrees with and has finally caught up with ancient medicine:

My "Ditch the Scale" Experiment

One of the number one goals I hear is "I want to lose weight. Or… at least… if I stop all the emotional eating, maybe my body will settle at a lower weight.”

It makes sense.  There's a lot of pressure on us ladies to keep it high and tight and maintain the illusion of youth and beauty (and super thinness) at all costs.
